In connection with the regrettable coverage from Berlin, Heckler & Koch requests the following statement:
"In the course of the current press coverage on the police pistol SFP9, claims have been made that the barrels of the pistol would 'migrate', and that a 'break-in period' of up to 60 rounds is required to achieve the desired accuracy. In addition, it has been sporadically claimed that Heckler & Koch itself is the source of these statements.
In fact, Heckler & Koch is neither the source of these claims, nor can these two technical phenomena be reproduced at this time.
Heckler & Koch remains in a professional and constructive dialogue with the customer. We are convinced that together with the experts on the side of the police, we will achieve clarification and, above all, a satisfactory technical solution. We would also like to point out in this context that this type of pistol has been in use since 2016 in a high five-digit number by police authorities in several federal states."
