At the Behördentagen 2025 hosted by TEUTODEFENCE, HECKLER & KOCH was also present – with a solid product line. Unfortunately, what was missing was the new G95 of the Bundeswehr. However, there was an earlier A5-version of the HK416 with the M-LOK rail, which will also be seen on the weapon isuued to the troops.
As with the quad rail, HK also opts for a rather massive M-LOK rail here, while other manufacturers use the mounting system to go for a more slender profile. We asked HK about the M-LOK hand guard. It has a slightly larger volume because the HK lug for the 40mm throwers is located in the lower area of the gas pick-up, which is covered by the hand guard. With M-LOK, the rail is also internationally compatible in terms of attachments, leaving the Oberndorf private initiative HKey blessedly behind. The piece is grippy, and there’s a quick release for removing the rail, alongside a mounting point for the sling. The G95 version is longer the 12.5-inch HK416 A5 seen here.
This feels nice to hold: The KSK also operates the HK437 under the service designation G39. The weapon was designed for covert operations and fires the suppressor-ready subsonic .300 Blackout round.
And this is kind of our queen of hearts at HECKLER & KOCH. We have already introduced you to the new HK433 assault rifle HERE and HERE you can find the brochure for the weapon.
