15 years of POHL FORCE: the anniversary knives

06/13/2023By Redaktion

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of POHL FORCE, the popular folding knife models Bravo One and Two Gen. 1 are being reissued.

Their size and compact shapes made them ideal companions for everyday use from the start. And that has not changed to this day. As with the Alpha Two X, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary, in the original handle design of the first generation. Also, the other details such as the Lock-Back lock, the reversible belt clip, and the exclusive two-handed blade opening via nail nick are found in the new Classic edition.

But not only is POHL FORCE celebrating an anniversary, but also designer and founder Dietmar Pohl. In the early 90s, 30 years ago, he put his first knife designs on paper, thus opening a new chapter in his life. The ATS-34 from Japanese steel manufacturer Hitachi, a counterpart to American 154CM steel, was one of the most popular steels of the time. ATS-34 steel remained the top choice of custom knifemakers for almost a decade before powder metallurgical steel started to dominate in the 2000s. On the occasion of the company's anniversary, Dietmar Pohl has managed to obtain "his" steel in a very limited quantity and use it for the Classic edition of the Bravo One / Two. The highly corrosion-resistant ATS-34 impresses with excellent sharpness and high edge retention.

The Bravo One Classic FDE is equipped with robust G10 military tactical handle scales in Flat Dark Earth color and a spearpoint blade in Dark Stonewashed finish. And the best part: Germans can legally carry them because there's no blade lifter.
