April: END for ABU

04/01/2021By Redaktion

No, this is not a joke. The US Air Force is getting rid of the Airman Battle Uniform (ABU). No one knows why they introduced it. The Army had previously introduced the almost non-camouflaging "Moldy camouflage" Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Maybe someone drank an LSD-infused cocktail in Vietnam, which was then introduced as a digital tiger stripe pattern in mold as an advancement. You can also see what happens when no one has the courage to say "No."

From today, ABU is history. The one below is now the new standard uniform of the Air Force. And actually, of the Army too. That also makes sense, because it's called a uniform - and not "everyone has their own pattern."
