The New: Thomas Homberg leads MVS Group

Thomas Homberg has been the new CEO of the Mehler Vario System Group since August 1, 2022, the European market leader for ballistic protection and carrying systems, platform and vehicle protection, and tactical equipment and clothing. He is also the managing director of Mehler Vario System GmbH, which he leads together with Dr. Mario Amschlinger.

Thomas Homberg is a former paratrooper officer of the Bundeswehr. He completed the German and French general staff training and has extensive experience in the security and defense industry, including board and executive positions in the European MBDA Group and as head of corporate strategy for the Airbus Group.

Thomas Homberg succeeds Siegfried Will, who is stepping down from his positions after 37 years with the company at his own request.

Based in Fulda, Mehler Vario System is a globally active group of companies, manufacturer of protective and carrying systems for police, military, and special forces, and a partner of the Bundeswehr in procurement of the new Modular Ballistic Protection and Carrying Equipment Soldier (MOBAST).

For over 40 years, the companies in the group have been producing protective vests, shields, equipment bags, helmets, impact and body protection equipment, and a wide range of high-end protective, carrying, and clothing products. This includes hard and soft ballistic elements as well as bullet, stab, and impact protection.
