Ukraine introduces DONAUSTAHL Odin

The National Police of Ukraine officially introduced the ODIN rifle stocks for its officers in July. This step marks an important milestone in modernizing Ukrainian security forces to Western standards and establishing an advanced civilian police force. Ukrainian security forces became aware of the innovative products from Donaustahl GmbH in early March 2023 at the EnforceTac trade fair in Nuremberg. This was followed by an intensive testing phase of various ODIN models to evaluate their functionality and performance in police operations.

The ODIN is the world's most compact universal rifle stock system and enhances shooter precision. It allows conventional pistols to be transformed into a stable pistol carbine platform. An essential advantage is that no changes are made to the mechanism of the weapon being used. This means that the loading, cocking, aiming, and safety procedures remain unchanged. The high level of precision and flexibility convinced the authorities, and by the end of May 2023, Ukraine expressed a desire to introduce ODIN systems in a pilot project in the Black Sea city of Odesa. The first units were delivered in early July. The ODIN rifle stocks will be used in patrol duty, traffic police, and object protection, and are expected to become standard equipment for the police force along with Western handguns in the future.

On the one hand, as evidence of our technological leadership in this field, and on the other hand, of course, that we can contribute to Ukraine's ability to resist Russian aggression. We are now starting a testing phase in Odesa. This was the request of our Ukrainian partners. The cooperation is going very well."
