At the 3M booth, you could see the new Peltor ComTac VI. Peltor's active hearing protection always works professionally. For us, however, particularly interesting was how the new NIB feature works.NIB stands for "Natural Interaction Behavior" and allows you to speak with other wearers of the ComTac VI in close proximity, without the need for a radio. Only the headset itself is required for this.
This works via radio and is a development by Peltor, therefore not compatible with other devices. Up to four people can speak simultaneously. The transmission works within a radius of up to ten meters.
Within five meters, it works without a hitch, between five to ten meters, a fade in/out occurs. To speak, there is a dedicated button located on the back of the hearing protection. You can see it in the image above.
The graphic shows how you can imagine it. By the way, we will present the Peltor ComTac VI more in detail soon. HERE is the product video for the new Peltors.
