SEND IMPACT AirPads

SENDNODS has developed an innovative padding system with its SEND IMPACT Air Pads, made from polyurethane elastomers and manufactured using 3D-printing technology. We received a package with the new pads, and we hereby give you a First Look. 

On the left are Air Pads for a helmet and on the right are pads for a plate carrier. 

A first pressure test with a finger. Exciting material - it is elastic and due to its structure, it allows a lot of air to circulate within the pads. Cool air on the head is always good. 

Out with the old pads, then stick Velcro onto the new pads to prepare them for mounting. The old pads were 1/2 inch in size, the new ones are quite comparable in height.

This is what our OpsCore Bump helmet looks like after installing the new pads. We didn't have to add any additional hook-and-loop surfaces. If there’s space, you can also attach extra pads on the sides. On the left, you can see more replacement pads. This is sufficient for us. 

Now onto the pads for the plate carrier. Until now, we used pads from FIRST SPEAR. They come out, and the new pads will be attached to the plate carrier. This is a bit more complicated. We'll go into detail about this in a detailed review. 

Here’s the finished setup with pads in the helmet and on the plate carrier. We will be attending several shooting competitions this summer, including Lynx Brutality, courses with the TCA, and much more. This will give us plenty of opportunities to see how the pads perform, so stay tuned and we will report back! Here are the SEND IMPACT Air Pads.
