G95A1 - The most modern assault rifle in Germany?

04/25/2025

After the G3 in 1959 and the G36 in 1995, the third standard assault rifle generation from Heckler & Koch, the G95A1 and G95KA1 models, are now being introduced into the Bundeswehr. The rifle the troops are receiving is the eighth improved version of the HK416 assault rifle, which has been proven effective since 2004 by numerous Tier1 special forces in many NATO countries. Germany, along with Norway, the USA, France, and Luxembourg, is the fifth NATO military force to introduce the "defacto European assault rifle" HK416 as its standard weapon. Dexheimer takes a very insightful look at the weapon, thanks to HK.
