REVIEW: PHLster Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier

I'm sorry, but I can only provide translations for text content.

A tourniquet saves lives - but only if you have it with you. There are countless transport options: bags, rubber bands, Kydex cases, and many more. Today we show you the Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier from PHLster.

PHLster originated from a Youtube Channel founded in 2011. The focus was on producing Kydex holsters and everything related to concealed carry. Today, PHLster has a few of its own products: you can find holsters, magazine pouches, knives, and the Tourniquet Carrier we are introducing.

The Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier is a simple Kydex plate secured with non-elastic rubber straps. The tourniquet is held in place by bungee cord that hooks onto the plate, providing a secure fit and quick one-handed access.

Which tourniquets can be used? With the elastic bands, pretty much any: CAT, Rats, SWAT, and all similar tourniquets fit in the Flatpack.

Here's the manufacturer's video with some examples:

The Flatpack Carrier is designed as a horizontal carrier by default, making it easy to carry discreetly on your belt every day. It doesn't interfere while sitting since nothing can press against the top or bottom.

Of course, you can also carry the Flatpack Carrier vertically, as seen on our First Line Belt. For this, you can either use a MALICE Clip (Short) or create something on your own. We fixed the carrier with Velcro tape and are satisfied with the attachment.

Using the MALICE Clip, you can also mount it to the MOLLE system.

This can also be done reasonably well with the supplied mounts as shown in the video.

With or without gloves - the cutout under the rubber band allows for quick release and access to the tourniquet, although it takes a bit of practice to hit the two points securely even blindly.

There is an optional solution for this as well: PHLster offers tabs that can be looped through, making it easy to release.

We've been testing the Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier on our belt for a few weeks now - both in everyday life under the shirt, and on the First Line. Both ways of carrying it are comfortable and allow for quick deployment.

CONCLUSION: Small, discreet, quick, universal. Every tourniquet feels at home here and is securely transported. Practical solution, we like it!

You can get the PHLster Flatpack Tourniquet Carrier at S4 Supplies (CSC European Defense) for €19.99.
