When special forces operate, every second counts. The intervention unit of the St. Gallen cantonal police has therefore opted for a tactical equipment system that optimally combines functionality, modularity, and speed: The TRAND panels from Austria.
Whether in hectic deployment situations, mobile operations, or medical emergencies – clear structures and intuitive organization determine efficiency and safety. This is precisely where the TRAND panels come into play, developed in close collaboration with official users. After successful implementations with the Austrian intervention command COBRA and the hunting command, the intervention unit of the St. Gallen cantonal police is now also relying on the modular panel system from TRAND.
In a typical QRF situation (Quick Reaction Force), every action must be precise. The operator is in a readiness position – his B&T APC300 Pro rifle and ballistic helmet are positioned so that quick access is possible at all times. The TRAND panels in the vehicle ensure a clear separation and accessible arrangement of the most important equipment items – a decisive advantage when seconds determine the success of the mission.
In operations from the vehicle platform, especially in urban environments, not all resources remain directly with the operator. Here, the TRAND panels prove their worth in the form of specially adapted backseat organizers: Non-lethal operational tools such as smoke grenades or 40mm grenade launchers can be securely, systematically, and readily stored. This reduces search times and increases tactical flexibility – especially when the operational situation changes rapidly.
In medical emergencies, the TRAND systems also prove their worth: For the structured outfitting of medics, they offer a clear organization of medical equipment. Hanging MedEvac backpacks allow the medic to have the necessary equipment immediately in view and at hand. Especially in critical situations, where minutes can determine life and death, this solution provides a clear tactical advantage.
With the integration into the intervention unit of the St. Gallen cantonal police, TRAND underscores its goal of providing highly professional solutions for official special forces. The fact that both the Austrian intervention command COBRA and the hunting command trust TRAND speaks to the practical suitability, robustness, and adaptability of the panels under real operational conditions.
Feedback from practice is clear: less search time, more overview, higher safety. For TRAND, this is both confirmation and motivation to further develop the system together with the users – ready for action, made in Austria.
