Books & more: A little bit of Delta

Hartmut Schauer's book about the Delta Force is a German standard work, but only because there is otherwise a complete lack of literature about the Deltas. Published in 2008, already not very up to date at that time, the unchanged new edition has not made it any better. One reads about the new models of night vision devices PVS-14 and finds such moving sentences as: "The computer has long since taken hold." The whole book is Woodland with a touch of Olive. Very occasionally UCP. For those who are generally interested in the Deltas, this is a general guide to the early history of this special unit. Anyone who thinks that a new edition could also include an addition - keyword Combat Application Group (CAG) - has been mistaken. Actually a pity, especially because there is no other Delta literature in German...
