E-Tint CTRL is an exceptional protective eyewear system. Liquid crystals allow the change from tinted to almost clear lens in 0.1 seconds. CTRL is also the first and only protective eyewear with this system that is approved for the Army's Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL). Therefore, in case of rapid weather changes, the eyewear does not need to be removed and replaced, a simple button press is enough to change the lens tint. These can be charged via USB and one charge lasts for over 70 hours of operation. Availability and price information are unfortunately scarce. Similar E-Tint glasses cost around 300 US dollars.
