This is one of the rarer jackets on this planet. The Beyond Clothing L5 Cold Fusion Soft Shell Jacket in AOR1 is typically used by DEVGRU. They are often in the more inhospitable areas of the world - including Afghanistan - so the jacket, which comes with the L5 nomenclature for a Protective Combat Uniform (PCU), is particularly warm: a softshell with fleece on the inside.

AOR1 or DIGI2 is the desert camouflage of the American Navy SEALs. For those who are alpine or in cold weather, they still want to wear a softshell. This is it. The material is TweaveTM Winterweight Softshell. Soft on the outside, even softer on the inside. Overall much thicker than any other softshells we know.

And two pieces of Velcro. A Velcro area for the flag in the correct format. And underneath, another piece of Velcro attached to the upper arm pocket. The air conditioning is integrated. The sleeve can be opened on the inside. Essential for a fleece softshell.

View from the back. The jacket covers the buttocks well. However, "American gloves" - hands in the pockets. In AOR1, it's a real eye-catcher.

CONCLUSION: Hard and heavy. Outside softshell, inside winter jacket. Of course, not fully weatherproof, softshells are not waterproof. But ideal for keeping warm and for movement. In AOR1, a very rare piece of clothing. But there are also regular colors like Coyote.
