With the HK Academy, Heckler & Koch is launching the first nationwide shooting training courses for handguns under professional guidance starting in October 2019.
The one-day course is aimed at both shooting beginners and experienced shooters, hunters or professional gun carriers with the goal of sustainably improving their shooting skills and technique, gaining safety with the weapon, and being able to consistently shoot accurately. In addition, all participants will receive valuable tips from Heckler & Koch on professional handling of the handgun as well as manufacturer recommendations for weapon maintenance, trigger/sight technique, weapon/ammunition compatibility, and more.
Proof of a valid gun license (WBK) is mandatory to participate in the HK Academy. The minimum age is 18 years. Participants who do not own an HK handgun will be provided with a rental weapon from Heckler & Koch for the duration of the course.
The training and education will be conducted by the HK Sports Shooting Team, the technical customer service, and the weapon demonstration team of Heckler & Koch. The participation fee is 380 Euro/person including insurance, excluding ammunition. A minimum of 300 rounds of standard factory ammunition in caliber 9mm x 19, as well as three magazines, suitable pistol holster, and loading aid (if available) are required. With prior registration, the purchase of ammunition at the event location is possible. Reloaded ammunition is not allowed. In addition, all participants must ensure appropriate eye and ear protection. The course duration is one day (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). The number of participants is limited to 12 people/academy day. All event locations are Certified Partners of Heckler & Koch GmbH.
