Surefire Warcomp without ITAR

04/26/2020By Redaktion

Good news for all those who have always wanted a SureFire Warcomp or any other muzzle device. The U.S. Department of State and Department of Commerce have implemented a reform of export regulations, significantly simplifying the export process for SureFire muzzle devices and muzzle brakes.

Under the new rules that took effect on March 9, 2020, SureFire muzzle devices and muzzle brakes, which were previously classified as Significant Military Equipment (SME), now fall under EAR99 (Export Administration Regulations) and do not require an export license under most circumstances. This also means that the flash hiders are no longer subject to ITAR regulations.

“This is a great win for our end-users overseas,” said Jeremy Rosenberg, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SureFire, LLC. “While there are still export restrictions that may apply in certain areas, this policy change makes it easier than ever for most SureFire customers around the globe to get the best muzzle devices in the world."
