Rheinmetall and the Dutch Procurement Agency Defence Materiel Organization (DMO) have renewed and expanded their long-term framework agreement for the delivery of various types of ammunition for at least ten years. The framework agreement foresees an annual order value of around 50 million EUR, resulting in a total volume of up to 500 million EUR over the term. Initial calls are currently being prepared by the customer.

The framework agreement includes the delivery of 35mm medium-caliber ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles, 40mm smoke ammunition ROSY, and modern 155mm artillery ammunition. The Deputy Director of Armaments of the Netherlands, Major General Ivo de Jong, and the Managing Director of Rheinmetall Weapon and Ammunition GmbH, Roman Köhne, signed the contract on July 30, 2020. The framework agreement is another outstanding example of the DMO's good and longstanding cooperation with Rheinmetall as specialists in weapons and ammunition. It complements the partnership agreement signed just over a year ago and underscores the customer's trust in Rheinmetall's expertise in ammunition.

Through this framework contract, the DMO aims to ensure the delivery of advanced and high-performance ammunition to the Dutch Armed Forces - now and in the future.
In connection with the partnership agreement, Rheinmetall has taken over responsibility for the complete 155mm portfolio, ranging from the current Assegai ammunition range to modular charges and fuzes. HERE is the Defence Materiel Organization online
