Last month it was announced that Cybergun released a licensed Glock in France - we reported HERE. Now Umarex announces that they have acquired the Glock license worldwide, except for France (where rumors suggest Umarex will soon take over Cybergun). What does this mean in plain terms? Umarex will manufacture Glock pistols based on the original design - as Airguns (4.5mm) and Airsofts (6mm). They will start with the classic Glock 17 Gen 3 model - with legal approval from the Real Steel parent company, Glock. Umarex thus produces the Real Steel variants: licenses to reproduce real weapons as toys are like a license to print money. Umar already owns Heckler & Koch...The first Umarex Glock are set to conquer the market in November. In the headline image, we have linked the teaser/trailer for the model. In this case as well, we are curious to see if they live up to the Glock name and how the pistols are implemented in terms of quality. A strong suspicion: they will be the Stark Glock, which are the VFC Glocks, which in turn are the main partners of Umarex and mysteriously disappeared suddenly. For those who would like to legally learn more, HERE is the press release.
