REVIEW: Zentauron Quickdraw pouch M4 & P8

Sometimes it has to be done quickly. Empty magazine out, full magazine in ... in between is the magazine pocket, where the shooter picks up the new feed. The secure classic magazine pocket has a flap on top that must be opened with an additional handle. The quick-draw pocket, on the other hand, is open and holds the magazine - here Glock and AUG in the pockets for P8 and M4 - securely and firmly against loss. And it's just faster. Today we are looking at the Taco version of ZENTAURON.

The magic is the firm grip on the magazine: this is achieved by a "U" made of Kydex, which is attached with flexible shock cord to the other "U", the actual fabric pocket. When the magazine is inserted, the pocket expands and at the same time securely holds the magazine to prevent loss.

Top view: here you can see the Kydex-U and the looped elastic cord. Inside, the pockets from ZENTAURON are additionally lined with tarpaulin, a nicely finished processing that also helps with drawing.

Everything here is MOLLE. The ZENTAURON system consists of a fabric strip with a plastic end piece sewn in almost the same length. On the outside, the quick-draw pockets also have MOLLE, so that additional attachments can be added. But there are also combined pockets (2 magazines or 1 magazine with 1 pistol, for example).

The pocket in use on a War Belt, with two pistol and one rifle quick-draw pockets for the First Line. First, loop the MOLLE with the fabric strip. When finished, turn around and thread the stiff part through. Easy to do, holds extremely securely. Therefore, not quite as fun when you want to rethread them...

CONCLUSION: Very good quick-draw pockets, Made in Germany. For all users who need quick access to magazines and tend towards Taco style, the ideal solution.
