Big artillery, latest tanks, high-tech for combat. At EUROSATORY 22 everything could be seen. But for us one of the most exciting technical projects is e-mobility for the battlefield. GDELS presented an extremely exciting study on this. The proven basis for this: The DURO is a highly mobile, off-road, tactical military vehicle and has been the "workhorse" of the Swiss Army for years. The name DURO stands for DUrable and RObust. Even in the most difficult terrain, the DURO drives safely and reliably in every situation. Due to its unique modular design, the DURO can be modified in many configurations to cover a wide range of applications from troop transport, command vehicle, logistics vehicle to ambulance. All information about the DURO.
GDELS has chosen this Swiss icon of an off-roader in collaboration with MAGNA - Engineering Center Steyr and Phi-Power to integrate latest technologies such as hybridization, electrification, on-board power generation, and propulsion technologies enabling MUM-T capabilities with automated/autonomous operation.
The DURO-e 4×4 was introduced for the first time at EUROSATORY 2022 and includes all new base technologies that tactical customers will require in the near future.
- Digital vehicle architecture according to NGVA standard;
- Variable powertrain, starting with a modern diesel engine from EURO 3 to EURO 6, a purely electric powertrain in battery-electric or fuel cell electric version;
- Silent Drive, Boost and extended Silent-Watch capabilities;
- CO2-neutral and cost-effective operation for daily military service;
- Low heat and noise signature;
- High energy efficiency and self-sufficient power supply.
Very exciting demonstrator for implementing modern technologies in a military-use vehicle.
