HECKLER & KOCH:

Strong financial year 2024

05/01/2025

The persistently high demand for modern and reliable handheld firearms has led HECKLER & KOCH to new record highs in order intake, revenue, and earnings in the 2024 fiscal year. The order intake reached a historical record of 426.2 million euros (previous year 2023: 285.3 million euros (+49.4%)).

This is a clear sign of the great trust that security forces in Germany, Europe, and across the transatlantic alliance place in HECKLER & KOCH. This exceptionally high order intake formed the basis for strong revenue growth: With 343.4 million euros, Heckler & Koch achieved the highest annual revenue in the company's history (previous year 2023: 301.4 million euros (+13.9%)). The profitability also developed positively. The operating result (EBITDA) was 63.1 million euros (previous year 2023: 62.2 million euros (+1.4%)), exceeding expectations, with continued high profitability. The result after taxes (EAT) increased to 31.5 million euros (previous year 2023: 28.7 million euros (+9.6%)).

  • Security forces in the western alliance trust HECKLER & KOCH

“Our company is strategically well-positioned to continue growing in a demanding environment,” explains CEO Jens Bodo Koch. “The demand for our products shows that internal and external security are currently under significant pressure. The security forces in our western alliance face great challenges in fulfilling their core mission to protect the population. For this, the women and men serving our society need and deserve the best personal equipment. This is clearly reflected in our business figures.”

Investments at the Oberndorf site are paying off. With the successful completion of the HK100 future program (investment volume of 100 million euros from 2020 to 2025), HECKLER & KOCH will be optimally positioned technologically and structurally for the coming years. The acquisition of Chrom-Müller Metallveredelung GmbH also contributes to the diversification of the business and the stabilization of supply chains—a further building block of the long-term strategy to strengthen competitiveness.

CFO Andreas Schnautz emphasizes: “The fiscal year 2024 underscores the economic stability of our company. Despite high investments and strategic acquisitions, we were able to maintain our solid profitability. This gives us the necessary financial flexibility for sustainable developments.”

Sales Director Marco Geißinger adds: “In 2024, HECKLER & KOCH was again able to win numerous contracts through competition, including the tender for the precision semi-automatic short-range weapon for the Bundeswehr's special forces (G210) as well as for the special silenced weapon (G39). The special forces are the Formula 1 teams of weapon development; therefore, these contracts are always associated with a lot of prestige. They show that our products enjoy the highest recognition.”

Looking ahead to the new fiscal year, CEO Koch is optimistic: “The exceptionally high order intake will significantly drive our business in 2025. The numerous large orders will also allow us to strategically expand our production processes. I expect that we can further increase our efficiency in 2025. As a transatlantic company, we place a particular focus on our business in the USA, which we will continue to strengthen in the current fiscal year, both in the government and civilian markets. By fundamentally aligning our headquarters in Oberndorf with the area of government and military customers, we have positioned ourselves to best serve the long-term high demand of our customers with products and services.”
