New at the army: Silynx Clarus FX2

Beautiful image that immediately shows some interesting things that are currently in use in the Austrian Armed Forces: the soldier from the 25th Hunter Battalion is wearing a Carinthia MIG jacket, and the new deflector from Steyr is installed on the StG77 (Steyr AUG). In contrast to the very practical, screw-in shell deflector from Corvus Defensio, the mounting for this one must be drilled into the housing.

But what's really cool is the combination of PTT and active hearing protection that has just arrived at the "Jagdkommando Süd" - the unofficial, sometimes ironic nickname of the "Fallis" from Carinthia. The Silynx Clarus FX2 has a simple user interface and provides both electronic hearing protection and impulse noise control, while still allowing full situational awareness at all times. The in-ear system also serves as a microphone. It comes with a AAA battery (with a runtime of 40 hours), making the use of the PTT combination device ready out-of-the-box.
