New service weapon for the Canadian Army: The Canadian government announced on Friday the award of a $3.2 million USD contract to equip the Canadian Army with new pistols and holsters. M.D. Charlton Co. Ltd. from Victoria, B.C., has been awarded the contract to supply the SIG Sauer P320. The Canadian Armed Forces will refer to the new service weapon as the C22.
