KNDS presents innovative solutions for UAV combat. The company offers weapon-based solutions for combating aerial threats such as UAVs. KNDS integrates weapon- and missile-based solutions into its systems.
The comprehensive and successful deployment of the Gepard system in Ukraine highlights the importance of short-range air defense systems on today's battlefields. KNDS currently offers two versions of the SERVAL vehicle designed for UAV combat and short-range air defense. They are equipped with either the remotely controlled ARX 30 weapon system or a Mistral ATLAS RC turret.
With the RCT 30 and ARX 30 systems, KNDS provides maximum protection against UAV threats.
The ARX 30 is the perfect system for protecting company-level units or for integration as a secondary weapon on combat tanks. It features a 30mm cannon with very low recoil and a range of one kilometer. The air defense capability is ensured by a special fire control system and 30×113mm air burst ammunition. In this field, KNDS is one of the few companies that masters both the timed and proximity fuzing.
The optronic sighting devices of the RCT 30 allow the entire crew to have a 360° all-round surveillance, detection, and identification of targets over long distances. The airburst-capable fully stabilized automatic 30mm machine gun allows precise engagement of targets even while on the move. The turret allows for situation-related target engagement with two separately guided types of ammunition through automatic dual belt feeders at the touch of a button.
The RAPIDFire naval and land turret manufactured by KNDS and Thales is equipped with a 40mm CTA cannon designed for engaging threats up to a distance of four kilometers. The gun turrets deployed in the French Navy have proven their excellent performance in test and evaluation firings.
KNDS is considering integrating the RAPIDFire on various types of platforms such as armored 6×6 or 8×8 vehicles.
