ENFORCE TAC 2019: Hensoldt's new riflescope

HENSOLDT presents its new riflescope ZF 1-8×24 at this year's Enforce Tac in Nuremberg. The reticle is located in the first focal plane of the ZF 1-8×24. The red dot is in the second focal plane and does not increase in size with increasing magnification, so it does not cover the target. Once the shooter selects a magnification of 1.3 or higher, the red dot turns off and the reticle illumination turns on. The Head of Handheld Sight Systems Frank Topp explains the background: "The ZF 1-8×24 offers the smallest variable magnification in the HENSOLDT portfolio. It was developed for short to medium ranges and is therefore perfect for the Designated Marksman or for police forces."
