Denmark has joined the multinational Common Armored Vehicle System (CAVS) program by signing the Technical Arrangement. Following this, Denmark plans to proceed on the next execution phases of the program. Denmark joins the program now as the fifth nation after Finland, Latvia, Sweden and Germany.
Within the CAVS program, the 6x6 armored vehicle system development is led by PATRIA which has more than four decades of experience in developing, delivering and supporting state-of-the-art protected troop transportation and system integration. Vast majority of supply of the vehicles is conducted by utilizing the member nations’ local industry capabilities and every new nation is inherently reinforcing the security of supply for the whole collaboration system. So far, PATRIA has received orders for over 850 PATRIA 6x6 vehicles, and has delivered more than 200 vehicles. By mutual consent of the participating countries, the program is open to European countries with similar equipment requirements.
