REVIEW: TMC Lightweight Assault Windbreaker Jacket

Yes, we know it's summer and most of Europe is dealing with a heatwave, but sometimes it can get a bit cooler at night or the wind picks up. So, you need a light jacket, and that's exactly what we want to introduce to you today.

The TMC Lightweight Assault Windbreaker Jacket is exactly the kind of jacket you can have with you in the summer. It is made of 160D Cordura and weighs only 500g.

Back view. In the front, it offers only two zippered waist pockets, but you don't really need much more with just a wind jacket.

To prevent the head from getting cold or to protect it from falling moisture, the jacket comes with a hood.

The hood can be adjusted very well, thanks to various drawstring elastics. A simple but practical system.

Unfortunately, the TMC Lightweight Assault Windbreaker Jacket is only camouflaged on the exterior. Inside, it is simply white, or rather, plain. The waist pockets – seen here inside – can also be used as inner compartments.

The camouflage pattern is called "Golden Tigerstripe" and goes well with blue jeans thanks to the dark blue tiger stripes. This pattern has proven itself in the jungle, despite the initially very interesting color choice. In our regions, Golden Tigerstripe works extremely well as a fashion camouflage.

The sleeve cuffs can be adjusted in width with Velcro.

CONCLUSION: Strange pattern, but a great jacket. The workmanship is very good, as expected from TMC, and leaves nothing to be desired. With this jacket, you are perfectly styled in the urban jungle and well protected against wind and light rain. The more we look at the Golden Tigerstripe, the more we like it.
