So small and already a flashlight? And what a ... we looked at the Olight S1R Baton, which is available at 365+ Tactical. It was clear beforehand: we need a flashlight for a solid EDC (Every Day Carry). So something that is (almost) always with us, shines well, and has no weight. And then there's the S1R - and we fell in love with it. Here's what you get when you buy: on the left, the box with the user manual, on the right, a bag to pack the flashlight and accessories, e.g. if you want to put both in your toiletry bag. Good idea, because then you always have light with you, on every hike, on every trip. This is what the company says about the device:

There's a wrist strap for the flashlight. And the charging cable. The orange one in the corner on the right, that's ours. You don't get that.
The S1R has a battery inside. That's excellent because the user doesn't always need fresh batteries. Especially since the expensive option would be: CR123A are common in the USA, only used for cameras here. That means exploitation prices. Of course, you can also switch the battery for a battery, which can have advantages in use, because then you don't need to look for a USB plug anywhere. Put the battery in, use it up, throw it away (of course in the collection bin, where available in use) and put in a new battery. The worry-free package, as long as you still have batteries.
For everyday citizen life, this is the more practical option. Flashlight with USB to the laptop and recharging the battery in between. Then the owner can put the Baton back in the pocket right away. The clip is great and holds the flashlight securely, so you don't lose it, even if it's next to the pocket knife.
Let there be light! Press the button, off we go. The individual light levels are switched through by pressing and holding them one after the other. Once the desired mode is reached, the switch must be released. Also very comfortable and well thought out is the memory function because the last set light level remains when the flashlight is turned on again.
If you press and hold the button for two seconds when the device is turned off, the S1R switches to Moonlight mode, in which the flashlight lasts with economical 0.5 lumens for up to 15 days. Double-click takes you from OFF directly to the full light output of 900 lumens. The graphic on the left shows how long that lasts. To enter Strobe mode, quickly press the switch three times. Newer models also have a timer function, so that if you have to press it twice, you can set it for 3 or 9 minutes.
Immensely practical is the magnet in the base of the flashlight. Here it simply sticks to a civilian refrigerator. But you can also attach it to a helmet (if it's not made of plastic, dear friends).
CONCLUSION: Small and perfect, ideal for EDC and extremely stylish as a flashlight. The S1R Baton is a little masterpiece that we can really recommend for everyday use. The adjustable function on the flashlight is extremely practical. Because what you can do with "Moonlight" (0.5 lumens), the user doesn't need a 900 lumens floodlight for. What the intense LED light unfortunately can't do is focus, that is: 900 lumens makes it incredibly bright, but changing the light beam doesn't work. A flashlight for close range that really excels there. And it's so damn small, did we already mention that? Ideal for discreet carrying - see "Gray Man Theory" on SPARTANAT.
The Olight S1R Baton is available at 365+ Tactical for around 70 euros. Right now, the beautiful copper - and titanium versions are available. The S1A leads "only" with 600 lumens, is slightly longer, shines with the common AA batteries, and costs Euro 49.95.

OLIGHT GERMANY website: http://www.olightgermany.deIncluded in EDC: the Olight S1R Baton fits in stylishly. Between the Tactical Pen and Gerber Combat Folder, it stands out pleasantly and also matches the Leatherman Wave with Bits. For the keys, there's the Garage from ITS Tactical. And Glock is always there, at least as a keychain.
