Drones:

NOT made in China

05/07/2025By Lawrence

The use of Chinese-made drones by Western military, law enforcement, and public safety organizations raises many political, economic, and security concerns. As should the fact that China controls something like 80% of the global drone market–including the parts and components necessary to build drones elsewhere.

This is why Coretronic Intelligent Robotics Corporation (CIRC), a Taiwanese company specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is making a name for itself. Established in 2018, CIRC labels its drones as “non-red” and 100% made in Taiwan with absolutely no parts from China. This means they comply with the US National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and are suitable for government and defense end-users.

CIRC's UAV lineup includes different models designed for specific industrial or governmental applications, and all of which integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and edge computing to enhance functionality and efficiency. Their drones can perform autonomous missions, including scheduled patrols and real-time inspections, using AI for object detection, anomaly identification, and 3D mapping. These features and capabilities make their drones highly suitable for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance applications.
