New from Ferro Concepts: Roll 1™ Trauma Pouch

FERRO CONCEPTS is reinventing the IFAK: The Roll 1™ Trauma Pouch is a Dangler™-style bag that stores the contents of an Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK) and is quickly deployable in case of emergency. The concept for the Roll 1™ Trauma Pouch is thanks to FERRO CONCEPTS good friends at Forward Observations Group, who originally designed and manufactured the bag prototype for SOF colleagues in Syria. Then they teamed up to redesign the Roll with the touch of FERRO CONCEPTS and put it in the hands of those who need it.

The Roll 1™ is intended to be worn in the opening of the rear plate carrier pocket: It takes up unused space, is not in the way, and supports the lumbar area during full gear rides. The Roll 1's open, ambidextrous exterior pocket allows access to both sides of casualty when trauma care is needed.

Simply grab the left or right unfolding tab, pull out the insert to access the IFAK contents, and get to work. The Roll 1™ can also be mounted on the front of a plate carrier, a war belt, or anywhere with a sufficient Velcro area. External pocket and insert pocket are included. Trauma kits/IFAK contents for deployment are available separately.

The name Roll 1™ is a reference to medical terms regarding levels of care: Roll 1 or Echelon 1 is the integrated medical support at the tactical level, providing life-saving immediate care, first aid, and triage. Roll 2 is the medical support at a higher/larger level, where Roll 1 usually sends patients for MEDEVAC. Rolls 3 and 4 already involve specialized surgical skills and long-term medical care.
