As useful as the use of suppressors in police and military operations may be, the release of the gases retained from the ejection window can be irritating for the shooter and pose disadvantages in combat. B&T successfully solved this problem back in 2013 when designing the MP9 suppressor with a low-pressure expansion chamber. Since large numbers of shots with assault rifles or machine guns make it difficult for the shooter to breathe due to the gases expelled to the rear, B&T has now also applied the principle of the low-pressure expansion chamber to suppressors for long guns. The RBS Signature suppressor significantly reduces the combustion gases expelled from the ejection window. The low-pressure expansion chamber minimally increases the size and weight of the suppressor compared to conventional suppressors, while effectively suppressing muzzle flash and noise similar to the proven B&T suppressors.
The RBS is available in calibers 5.56 (.223) – above – and 7.62 (.308) – in the lead image – each in a directly mountable version for various muzzle threads as well as with a newly developed quick-release system suitable for all NATO A2 flash hiders.
