The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has called on member states to lift their bans on Ukraine, which uses Western-supplied weapons for attacks on Russian territory.
On May 27, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly adopted a declaration calling on NATO countries to support Ukraine's "right to self-defense" under "international law" by lifting "some restrictions" on the use of Western weapons by Ukraine in attacks on Russian territory. The declaration also calls on member states to expedite the delivery of essential weapons to Ukraine. The declaration was supported by over 200 representatives of NATO member states.
Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief General Oleksandr Syrskyi announced on May 27 that he had signed documents allowing French military trainers to visit training centers in Ukraine.
The New York Times (NYT) reported on May 26 that Western intelligence agencies claim the Main Directorate of the General Staff of Russia (GRU) is behind a series of low-level sabotage operations across Europe aimed at disrupting Western arms shipments to Ukraine and creating the impression of a European movement against supporting Ukraine.
