Galactic Warfighters - Star Wars from the perspective of a Marine

11/24/2017By Redaktion

Star Wars battles like you've never seen before. Matthew Callahan has impressively portrayed Star Wars characters with the combat experience of a Marine, giving them life. But how did this come about?

His career began in the Marine Corps six years ago. As an infantryman, he was deployed to Afghanistan, but shortly after, he broke his leg and was sent back home. He didn't want to just lie around and wait for recovery, so he took a photography course and pursued a career as a Marine war correspondent. He continues on this path today, expanding his portfolio alongside his training.

Now, let's take a look at some of his pictures: A Clone Commander takes cover as an enemy sniper opens fire on him. A Clone Commander drags his wounded comrade to safety. Scouts climb a mountain for a better vantage point. An MK153 is fired by Advanced Recon and Airborne Commands during a joint weapons training. The projectile has an explosive warhead to destroy tanks and bunkers. Advanced Recon Commandos line up on a wall to push into a building where an enemy Separatist is suspected in Mos Eisley, Tatooine. Portrait of a Galactic Warrior: "I think the longest time I stayed in one position was on a ten or eleven day reconnaissance mission of an enemy Separatist base. The bushes start talking to you then." A prisoner is prepared for further transport by a clone trooper. Advanced Recon Commandos fire a mortar at an enemy position.

HERE you can find the Galatic Warfighters.
